A 102-year-old woman has received an early Christmas present the return of a gold diamond ring.
Edna Levy was given the item back in the 1970s by her husband as a yuletide gift, but it went missing last month.
However, the US resident is now full of festive joy after the piece was handed in to police and given back to her, it may interest owners of platinum diamond rings to learn.
She commented: "I'm going to wear it all the time. When it's on my finger, nobody is going to get it."
Ms Levy went on to say that while her husband had given her plenty of jewel-encrusted items over the years, she had "missed this one so much".
In other news regarding lost gold diamond rings, an engagement band and a 60-year-old jewel-encrusted piece were among the items stolen in a theft from a house in Reading earlier this month.
