Gold Diamond Rings Are 'best Present'

Britons can give their partner the best present this Christmas by shopping for gold diamond rings, it has been suggested.

According to Clifford Boon, of myengagementrings.co.uk, men offering a jewel-encrusted item to a loved one this year are showing "pure commitment".

He claimed consumers must make an "informed decision" when it comes to buying platinum diamond rings.

The firm commented: "The design of the ring must be such that it would make your loved one delighted with joy. In other words it should meet the choice of your beloved."

Mr Boon went on to say people should check several jewellery stores in order to ensure they are finding the best deals on items such as platinum and gold diamond rings.

Earlier this month, five couples made it through to the final stage of a competition put on by the Spa Media Group to win a 2.55-carat engagement band worth around $25,000 (£16,600).
