A woman has spoken at her joy of winning a diamond ring, according to a source.
In news which may interest owners of gold diamond rings, Sharon Davison won the item at the Marie Curie cancer charity event, reports the Scarborough Evening News.
Ms Davison, who married eleven years ago but did not receive an engagement band, tells the news provider she is "very pleased" to have scooped the prize.
She adds: "It's a very good quality diamond
I couldn't be happier."
Ms Davison goes on to say she and her husband had "never got round" to shopping for gold diamond rings during their engagement.
The event saw buyers of individual chocolates put forward to a draw for the prize, the newspaper adds.
Earlier this week, BharatMatrimony.com unveiled a competition to win a diamond ring worth $12,000 (£6,850), reported Indiapost.com.
The firm is accepting entries until December 20th as part of its Discover Lover promotion.
