An Israeli politician has been sent what is believed to be a diamond ring by a secret admirer, according to a source.
Tzipi Livni, the Israeli foreign minister, received the item from a Canadian through the post, reports Earthtimes.org.
In news which may interest owners of platinum or gold diamond rings, the 18-carat band was sent from Quebec, along with a letter stating "I'm aware of myself" and a photograph of the sender, the news provider states.
Ms Livni, who is married with two children, told members of her staff to return the ring with a thank you note.
It has not yet been determined whether the item is a genuine gold diamond ring, the news source continues.
Earlier this month, 53-year-old Hollywood superstar Bruce Willis was reportedly seen shopping for gold and platinum diamond rings while on a trip to Beverley Hills, sparking rumours he is set to marry 30-year-old partner Emma Heming.
