Mena Suvari Given Diamond Ring

Actress Mena Suvari has been given a diamond ring, according reports.

In news which may interest owners of platinum diamond rings, the American Beauty star was handed the engagement band while on holiday in Jamaica with music producer boyfriend Simone Sestito.

Ms Suvari told the media she has big plans for the forthcoming ceremony.

She commented to E News: "I want it to be like a fairytale wedding. Even though I have been down that road before, I never have done any of these preparations so there's a lot of stuff to do."

The 29-year-old, who has also appeared in movies such as Day of the Dead, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the American Pie series, was previously married to German cinematographer Robert Brinkmann for five years, before the pair split in 2005.

In recent weeks, stars such as Rose McGowan and Kelly Brook have also been given gold or platinum diamond rings by their partners.
