Music lovers can now show their passion for diamonds while listening to their favourite tracks.
London-based company DEOS has come up with a new range of jewel-encrusted iPod headphone covers.
Rather than use the gems in items such as diamond bracelets and brilliant-cut diamond rings, DEOS has produced top-of-the-range covers which are layered with coloured stones.
Consumers wishing to be seen with sparkling headphones will have to pay $60,000 (£34,000) for the privilege.
Those on a tighter budget could opt for white and black diamond covers for $4,500, leaving them with some extra money to buy the headphones these dazzling diamonds will adorn.
In other news which may interest owners of items such as diamond necklaces and oval cut-diamond rings, a Japanese toy company is launching a diamond-encrusted Licca-chan doll, reports the Samara James blog.
The child's item is covered with around 880 diamonds and has a price tag of approximately £550,000, the news provider adds.
