Diamond Floor Tiles Go On Sale

Homeowners with a love for diamonds are being offered the chance to take advantage of a sparkling offer from a flooring company, according to a source.

Flooring and tile specialist Pietra Firma is launching a new range of products featuring diamonds, reports the Jewelry Insider blog.

The gems, which are usually seen in items such as brilliant-cut diamond rings and diamond stud earrings, will be encrusted into the floor of the company's new range of tiles.

According to the firm's website walking barefoot on the gem-encrusted tiles is a "sensual experience", the news provider adds.

The stones can also be installed into walls and ceilings, with the luxury design range coming in at a cost of $1 million (£580,000) per sq m, the blog adds.

Around 1,000 diamonds are featured in each of the new limited-edition Lux Touch tiles.

Recently, motoring giant Lotus unveiled a car to mark its 60th anniversary, which is encrusted with 164 diamonds.
