An American jewellery firm has given away gold and platinum diamond rings, it has been reported.
Customers buying engagement rings, such as brilliant-cut diamond rings, at Bremer Jewelry were told they would receive a refund if there was rain on their wedding day, according to samarajames.com.
In order to be eligible for a refund there would have to be at least an inch of rain on the day.
Seven couples purchasing rings from the store were married on September 13th, a day which saw three inches of the rain, the website adds.
The downpour meant all seven couples were given their money back, due to the company's 'Pray for Rain' scheme, with some making a saving of around $5000 (£2797).
Meanwhile, earlier this week it was claimed by Best Syndication the purchase of a diamond engagement ring is "the first sign of enduring commitment" and is the "most exciting part" of the first steps of commitment.
