Golfers with a love for diamonds now have the chance to combine their passions, according to a source.

Shano has revealed a new range of diamond-stud encrusted golf markers, reports a blog on Jewelry Insider.

The accessories are surrounded in half-carat diamonds, usually found in items such as brilliant-cut diamond rings, which are enclosed in a platinum rim, the blog states.

Golfers can expect to pay $10,200 (£5,671) if they want to use the markers on the course, the source adds.

This is not the first time sportspeople have had the opportunity to show off their diamonds.

Earlier this year tennis ace Serena Williams wore diamond drop earrings during a match at Wimbledon, as well as appearing in a $40,000 pair at the US Open last year, the blog adds.

Meanwhile, athletes at the Olympics wore items of jewellery, such as gold and diamond stud earrings, to bring them luck during the Games, reports the Guardian.ADNFCR-1633-ID-18762588-ADNFCR
