Songstress Duffy has been spotted shopping for diamond jewellery, according to a source.

The pop star searched for items such as diamond pendants and rings on a trip to New York last month, reports wtop.com.

A pair of diamond stud earrings particularly "caught her eye", according to the source.

Meanwhile, the Welsh singer also looked at a $2,000 (£1,130) pink diamond ring, the website adds.

She claimed the diamond ring "would be perfect for a special occasion".

Items such as vintage handbags, hats and a jewel-encrusted hair clip were also on Duffy's shopping list.

Meanwhile, in other celebrity news, actress Halle Berry has been seen wearing a "sparkly new diamond engagement ring", according to reports.

The Hollywood star was spotted wearing the ring, described by the Daily Mail as an "unbelievable sparkler", while on a trip to Los Angeles zoo with daughter Nahla, the first public outing of the new mum and her child.
