Diamonds Light Up MTV Awards

Diamonds took centre stage at the MTV Video Music Awards, which were held on Sunday.

The show, which took place in California, was filled with stars showing off diamond items.

Actress Demi Moore arrived at the event wearing a diamond bracelet, earrings and platinum diamond rings.

Pop stars Rihanna, Ashley Simpson and Britney Spears were all spotted in diamond bracelets, while Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Jamie Foxx and Akon, among a host of other stars, sported diamond stud earrings.

A wide selection of platinum and gold diamond rings were also on show, with Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton and host Russell Brand wearing the items of diamond jewellery.

Songstress Pink is reported to have worn diamonds to the value of around $500,000 (£283,304) for the ceremony.

Earlier this week Beyonce Knowles was seen wearing a $5 million diamond wedding band, marking the first public wearing of the ring since she married earlier this year.
