A man who lost a diamond engagement ring after placing it on the bonnet of his car recently found luck in the form of a Harley-Davidson motorbike rider.
The Associated Press reports that Tyler Jones, a 23-year-old who planned to propose to his girlfriend on the same day the ring went missing, was giving up hope of ever finding the accessory again.
However, Monte Kirk spotted the diamond ring while driving his Harley-Davidson and picked it up in the hope of returning the piece to its owner.
Mr Kirk and his wife, Debbie, watched the newspapers for any sign of a lost diamond ring and eventually spotted an advert placed by Mr Jones, who had decided to invest in another ring and was still planning to pop the question to his partner, Amanda Anderson.
"He suddenly brought out the ring from behind his back and I just started bawling," said Karen Jones, Mr Jones' mother.
"I asked him to follow me over to the bank to give him the reward. He wouldn't accept the reward, though," she added.
Meanwhile, model Agyness Deyn's recent appearance in a diamond ring inspired rumours that she was engaged, US Weekly reported.
Diamond rings are available in a range of styles, from asscher cut diamond rings to princess cut diamond rings.
