Alba Dons Diamonds For Movie Awards

Movie star Jessica Alba turned to diamonds to accessorise her outfit at the recent Alma Awards.

According to the Jewelry Insider blog, the actress dominated the red carpet with a bespoke pink Narciso Rodriguez dress and crystal and diamond drop earrings, with her stunning look made all the more admirable by the fact that she has recently had a baby.

Elsewhere on the red carpet, Ugly Betty star America Ferrara also wore a pair of simple but elegant diamond drop earrings to complement a striped black and white dress taken from Diane von Furstenberg's Resort 2009 collection.

"A classic pair of drop diamond earrings were her only jewellery accessory and the less-is-more choice worked," the blog stated.

The Alma Awards mark the contribution made by those of Latino descent to the arts and were set up by the National Council of La Raza.
