Platinum Diamond Ring For Bachelorette

The season finale of reality TV show The Bachelorette saw DeAnna Pappas's fiance present her with a platinum diamond ring.

Jesse Csincsak won out in the show, each season of which sees 25 men battle it out for the chance to marry one woman.

This year's bachelorette, Pappas, chose Csincsak and was rewarded with a 2.3 carat princess cut diamond ring, featuring a centre stone and channel set diamonds set in platinum.

Kinney & Kinsella observes that many women - including Carmen Electra, Ashlee Simpson, Fergie and Jessica Alba - prefer platinum diamond rings when they say "I do", as the white metal maximises the brilliance of the gemstone.

"Platinum is also 30 times more rare than gold and loses little metal to everyday wear, which means that it will last a lifetime," the company states.

The reality TV couple have set a wedding date for May 9th, 2009.
