People can wear diamond drop earrings casually as well as with glamorous evening gowns, a new article suggests.

The Deccan Herald notes that chandelier ear adornments are hot property at the moment, being spotted on stars such as Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Jennifer Lopez.

But despite their high profile fans, these accessories can reportedly be worn to a variety of occasions.

"Pair them with jeans and you are all set for the evening salsa; wear them with a long silky red gown and you might feel bold enough to walk any red carpet," the news provider asserts.

And while chandelier earrings can be acquired in a variety of metals and gemstones, they reportedly look best in the form of diamond drop earrings.

Meanwhile, a jeweller from New York recently enlisted the city's refuse collectors in a drive to find her anniversary diamond stud earrings, which were accidentally thrown away.
