A diamond bracelet took the highest price at a recent jewellery sale at Sotheby's in London.
The item, a 1900s Tiffany & Co emerald and diamond bracelet, fetched £145,250, reports IDEX Online.
In total, 434 lots of jewellery were sold at the auction house on Tuesday, taking a total of £3,839,550.
"The bracelet comprises a line of old mine diamonds, interspersed with three cabochon emeralds, each surrounded by a cluster of circular cut diamonds," the news provider reveals.
Other items sold this week included a 5.2 carat pear shape diamond ring set with baguette shoulders, which fetched £79,250, as well as a brilliant cut diamond ring that was bought for £103,250.
Meanwhile, an emerald and diamond necklace set with brilliant cut and pear shape diamonds fetched £97,250.
In related news, Christie's has announced its sales were up ten per cent in the first half of 2008 compared to the corresponding period last year, with one diamond necklace being sold for $1.7 million (£860,000).
