Asscher Cut Diamond Ring For Evert

Asscher cut diamond ring for Evert

Tennis star Chris Evert, a number one female singles player for seven years, sported an asscher cut diamond ring at the recent US Open, at which she was supporting her new husband Greg Norman.

According to the Daily Mail, the event marked the first time Evert has appeared in public with her "huge" wedding ring.

The couple married some three weeks ago with a beachside ceremony in the Bahamas, the news provider revealed.

However, the asscher cut diamond ring and its wearer may prove a distraction for 53-year-old golfer Norman, who commented on his recent preoccupations.

He told the publication: "The least of my worries was getting out there and practising.

"My mind has really been elsewhere. Justifiably so, too."

At the Bahamas-based wedding ceremony on June 28th, 140 guests were present to witness a real family affair.

Colton, Evert's youngest son, was ring bearer, while his brothers Alex and Nicky walked their mother down the aisle.

Norman's son Gregory Junior and his daughter Morgan were also in attendance.
