Diana-inspired Jewellery Launched By Former Butler

Jewellery based on items worn by the late Princess Diana is being launched by her former butler, Paul Burrell.

Diamond necklaces, gold rings and other items reminiscent of the adornments favoured by Diana are to be promoted by Mr Burrell on a US shopping channel.

"Diana wore big formal pieces for royal events. But privately her taste was much more understated. She liked smaller diamonds and simple designs," the butler told a friend.

He reportedly added that the diamond necklace and other items will stay true to her taste, being understated yet beautiful.

The former butler also predicted the range would be popular in the US due to the nation's interest in the late princess.

Entitled the Effy Signature Range, the collection includes a diamond chain and cross worth £1,275 and an 18-carat-gold ring.

In related news, Diana's former medium Rita Rogers has decided to put a gold necklace given to her by the royal up for auction, the Press Association recently reported.
