Diamond Necklace Sported At Tony Awards

This week's Tony Awards has drawn attention for attendees' fashion and jewellery choices as well as their acting prowess.

The diamond necklace worn by 1980 Tony Award winner Priscilla Lopez was commented on by the Associated Press.

According to the news provider, Lopez wore an entirely gold outfit, featuring a ruffled gown, jacket and sandals, which she completed with a pearl, gold and diamond necklace.

The gold-adorned actress is currently starring in In The Heights, having won a Tony Award 28 years ago for A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine.

Officially called the Antoinette Perry Awards for Excellence in Theatre, the Tony Awards are presented in New York each year by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, in recognition of successful productions currently running on Broadway in Manhattan.

This year's Best Actress winner, Deanna Dunagan, sported "elegant gold accessories" with her turquoise jewel-toned Leggiadro suit, Broadway.com asserted.
