The notion that jewellery can express the wearer's personality has been taken to the next level by one designer.
Solange Azagury-Partridge just needs to know her buyer's name and she will craft a gold diamond ring featuring it, notes Vogue.
According to the style bible, the gold diamond rings have some high-class fans and are making waves with celebrities and fashion-forward jewellery aficionados.
"Surely one of the all-time cult pieces is her name ring: just tell her your name and she'll set it in gold," observes Vogue.
Azagury-Partridge has been in Topshop's flagship Oxford Circus branch this week, teaching people how to make jewellery from materials they could perceive as junk.
Opening her first shop in 1995, the designer launched her inaugural fragrance in 2006, entitled Stoned.
She told the Telegraph that she wanted to be an interpreter as a child, also noting in the interview that jewellery is her favourite present for girlfriends.
