Reinterpretations of vintage gems and jewellery by Angela Tassoni were the subject of a private exhibition in London on May 14th.
Tassoni makes bespoke jewellery pieces crafted from precious stones and metals, with fans of her gold diamond rings and other pieces include Jennifer Lopez, Selma Blair and Joan Collins, the designer's mother-in-law.
According to Easier Lifestyle, Tassoni's designs are usually only viewable at private tea parties in New York and Los Angeles.
But this week, Londoners got the chance to view her exquisite designs, said to be one-of-a-kind.
The designer was born in Italy and grew up surrounded by painters, enjoying frequent visits to Venetian palazzos and cultural events, which the publication states enriched her work with a Baroque sensibility.
"She's such a lady, extremely feminine and self-possessed. She has great personal integrity and wonderful judgment. She's incredibly artistic, which means she also understands my work.
"She's a beautiful soul, a rare being who hasn't been sullied by the world as it is now," Tassoni's husband, Alexander 'Sacha' Newley, said when their first child was born in 2004, reported Hello magazine, cited on Joancollins.net.
