Stars Attend Diamond Spectacular Opening

A host of celebrities attended the recent opening of the A Diamond Is Forever Floral Spectacular at Grand Central Station in New York.

The installation, which was designed by Antony Todd to celebrate Mother's Day and consists of more than 24,000 long stem red roses spelling out the phrase A Diamond is Forever to highlight the divide between the temporary and the permanent.

The opening was followed by a luncheon featuring more flowers and diamonds, with Diane Kruger, Lake Bell, Margherita Missoni, Tory Burch, Natasha Richardson, Coca Rocha and Elisabeth Hasselbeck among those in attendance.

According to Fox News, the luncheon was thrown by the Diamond Information Centre, which works with high-profile celebrities to promote diamond jewellery.

It has worked with designers such as Alexander McQueen, Ralph Lauren, Patricia Field, Badgley Mischka and Vera Wang, as well as operating at events including the Academy Awards, the MTV Awards and the Cannes film festival.
