America Ferrera Shows Off Diamond Ring

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera has been spotted wearing a diamond engagement ring in between bouts of filming for the next series of the show.

Newspaper the Daily Mail snapped the star wearing the bespoke jewellery piece recently, speculating that Ferrera could be engaged to her long-term partner, film-maker Ryan Piers Williams.

The couple met at film school when Ferrera starred in one of Williams' student pieces.

Ferrera and Williams - who is employed by producer Steven Soderbergh - now live together with their golden retriever.

"If her character is anything to go by, Ugly Betty star America Ferrera is doomed when it comes to finding love. But offscreen it seems she has rather more luck," the report suggests.

Meanwhile, the actress has agreed to star in An Invisible Sign Of My Own, a forthcoming movie directed by Marilyn Agrelo.

It is to mark the director's first film since the documentary Mad Hot Ballroom.
