Lost Diamond Ring 'brilliant Again'

Lost diamond ring

A man from Virginia in the US has expressed his delight that his $4,000 (£2,000) diamond engagement ring has been returned.

Barak Gohn, a resident of York County, lost the diamond ring when he accidentally put it on the roof of his car, shortly after purchasing the item, reports WGAL.com.

After advertising a $500 reward for the bespoke jewellery piece, Mr Gohn got a call from a woman who had found the precious item.

However, she demanded an extra $500 on top of the advertised incentive - so the fiance paid $1,000 in total to get his diamond ring returned.

Friends and relatives are now keeping a close eye on the diamond ring and its owner.

"A thousand people around me are making sure I have the ring," he told the news provider.

"I can't wait until I can just propose to her and put it on her finger and know it's safe and know its not going to leave there for a long time."

A recent report in the Mail on Sunday speculated that demand for designer jewellery could rise when the Asian wedding season begins next month.
