Bush Flashes Diamond Ring For Magazine

Jenna Bush has revealed details of her forthcoming wedding - including her diamond engagement ring.

In the May issue of Vogue, the first daughter discusses her engagement to Henry Hager, reports the American-Statesman.

The engagement was announced after Hager, the son of Virginia Republican Party Chairman John H Hager, proposed to Bush in Maine last August.

And the engagement ring reportedly comprises two sapphires and a round diamond, having been passed through generations of the Hager clan.

The president's daughter told the magazine she wants to avoid the trappings of glamour that some might expect to characterise a president's daughter's wedding.

She said: "That's not really my personality."

Bush has been actively involved in campaigning for her father's election in the past, as well as working as a public school teacher in Washington.

She has also written a book based on her experiences of working with Unicef-sponsored charities in Latin America.
