Published : 08/02/10 Coleen's diamond habit is compulsive and impressive, and began when Wayne presented her with a £25,000 diamond ring from Tiffany for her 18th birthday. As part of her 'starter collection' in the early years, she also got a £20,000 Rolex watch and a £10,000 Jacob & Co watch. The size of the gems has grown alongside Rooney's earning capacity - for her 21st birthday, she got a £200,000 10-carat yellow diamond ring from Chopard. Her most spectacular piece is the bespoke wedding ring, said to be worth close to £350,000, which was made by Jacob & Co in New York. It is a band encrusted with more than 50 diamonds, topped off with a solitary rock that one gobsmacked observer likened to a chicken nugget in dimension. 'Coleen is crazy about diamonds,' said a friend. Wayne has a wedding ring which matches, apart from the rock. It is this jewellery that they sent the assistant to pick up in New York, and the price for both is thought to be around £450,000, which must make a first-class flight seem like a perfectly reasonable P&P charge. Wayne also bought her some spectacular diamond earrings after their wedding, valued at about £30,000, and a £50,000 Jacob &Co watch, studded with diamonds, after the birth of son Kai last year. And she has a lovely diamond bracelet, too. Wayne himself has a £120,000 single diamond earring from Cartier, but he seldom wears it.
