Published : 17/06/09 A host of clothing and jewellery designers have received the stamp of approval from a major body. The British Fashion Council has announced the 17 individuals that will be given Newgen sponsorship, lovers of items such as diamond bracelets and diamond drop earrings may be interested to hear. Danielle Scutt, Mary Katrantzou, Louise Gray and Atalanta Weller are among those chosen, with all recipients being given help to exhibit their work at London Fashion Week, which takes place in September. Newgen was established in 1993 and, since then, has aided numerous clothing, accessories and jewellery designers, including the likes of Giles Deacon and Richard Nicoll, lovers of gold diamond rings may be interested to learn. In other news involving jewellery and the catwalks, industry members recently gathered in Los Angeles for the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards, with Jack McCollough, Proenza Schouler and Lazaro Hernandez among those scooping prizes.
