A major industry authority has unveiled an initiative aimed at generating interest in the jewellery market, according to reports.
The Jewelry Information Center (JIC) revealed this week it will launch a consumer marketing scheme which it hopes will drive up excitement around the sector into the new year, it may interest owners of gold diamond rings to learn.
David Bouffard, board chairman for the organisation, commented in a statement on the impact the plan could have.
He said: "The scale of this initiative is unprecedented for the JIC and it comes at time when the jewelry industry needs it more than ever."
A range of marketing and promotions aimed at consumers, such as those interested in buying items including platinum diamond rings, are planned as part of the proposals in a bid to educate the public.
