Thousands of visitors travelled from around the world to a recent diamond exhibition, it is claimed.
Expo Centre Sharjah's MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show ran from October 8th until 12th.
Gold diamond rings were among the items showcased, with a Burj Al Arab band one of the most popular attractions.
The item is an 18-carat white gold ring, encrusted with 3.22-carat diamonds.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, director general at the Expo Centre, commented: "No wonder thousands of visitors and residents are flocking to the region's most popular jewellery fair."
Attendance figures for the show have not yet been released, but Fasahat Ali Khan, adviser to the chairman and board of directors of Expo Centre Sharja, stated the turnout could beat the April show's figures by "a huge margin".
Recently, those attending the Berkeley Square Ball were seen wearing items such as diamond drop earrings, reports Retail Jeweller.
