In news which may interest owners of gold diamond rings, Alton Towers states 800 pieces of jewellery have been left on its Corkscrew ride over the last 28 years. Among the lost property is a gold diamond-studded wedding ring, while a prosthetic leg and 53 shoes were also left on the attraction. Russell Barnes, divisional director at Alton Towers, said: "We were expecting to find some strange items when we started clearing the Corkscrew area but a prosthetic leg definitely tops the list as the most bizarre." The finds come as the Corkscrew's 28-year residency at the theme park comes to an end, with November 9th the last chance for adrenaline junkies to take a ride. In other news involving missing gold diamond rings, a women is appealing for information to help find her engagement band after it was lost last week, reports Isle of Man Today.
