A gold diamond ring has been found 35-years since it was lost, according to a source.
In 1973 Tommy Mayes, then an army lieutenant flying at Fort Wolters, lost the ring while on duty, reports My San Antonio News.
The band, which contains a diamond that had formed part of his mother's wedding ring, was not seen by Mr Mayes for the next 35-years despite a frantic search, it may interest owners of gold diamond rings to learn.
However, it was found by Peggy Harvey, who used the inscription on the ring to find its owner, the news provider adds.
Former lieutenant Mr Mayes comments to the source: "There are two things remarkable about this story. One, that somebody actually found the ring, and two, they took the time to find me."
