An appeal has been launched to find the owner of a diamond ring found in a sewer, according to a source.
In news which may interest owners of gold diamond rings, the item was lost when a young couple visited an ice cream parlour in Toronto earlier this week, reports 680 News.
While leaving the shop, the lady dropped a diamond ring, believed to be an engagement band, which then fell into the sewer.
However, the next morning, after being notified of the incident by the shop owner, workers dug into the area and managed to find the ring, the news provider continues.
But despite the miracle find, the couple are yet to be reunited with the ring, as they did not leave a contact address with the ice cream proprietor.
In other news on missing gold diamond rings, it was revealed a treasured ring was found 35-years after it had been last seen, reported the San Antonio News.
