One rescue dog has gone from rags to riches, after his new owners spent £9,000 on a jewel encrusted collar.
George, a Jack Russell dog, was rescued by the North Clwyd Animal Rescue Centre earlier this year, arriving at the base in a poor state, the Daily Record reports.
He was then homed with Joanna Way and her daughter Melanie Sharp, who splashed out on the dog to make him accustomed to his new high life.
The duo spent almost £9,000 on a nine-carat gold and diamond encrusted leather collar for the pooch, adding he was turning into a "proper little show off".
"He came on really well straight away and he was getting really healthy with his coat looking fantastic," the owner told the newspaper. Ms Way added: "He is so happy now".
Another dog owner is hoping her diamond-encrusted wand will help reunite her with her missing pet.
Joyce Block told the Mercury News that she hopes the $10,000 (£5,545) item being given as a reward will help her find her pooch.
