Diamond rings 'symbolise wealth, beauty and power'

Diamond rings are a symbol of "wealth, beauty and power", a source has claimed.

Alice Sly, writing for 3X24 News Magazine, made the statement and also believes the stone, which is found in items such as brilliant-cut diamond rings, has "upheld its label as woman's best friend".

Ms Sly states there are a wide range of diamonds on offer for consumers, all of which have different qualities.

In a separate article the writer also puts forward emerald-cut diamond rings as a strong choice for those shopping for engagement bands.

She adds diamond rings are the best way to "symbolise the promise of enduring love".

The publication states the first emerald-cut diamond ring was produced in 1477 and since then they have "signified love, dedication and loyalty".

Meanwhile, singer Natasha Bedingfield has this week been spotted wearing a diamond engagement ring and has admitted she and finance Matthew Robinson are yet to set a date for their wedding, reports aceshowbiz.com.
