Princess cut diamond ring for engaged MTV host

MTV presenter Lyndsey Rodrigues is wearing a princess cut diamond ring after getting engaged to her long-term partner Chris Durlacher, it has emerged.

The couple have been together for some two years and decided to commit for life after spending two months apart, reports News.com.au.

And the pair chose a 1.5 carat princess cut diamond ring to seal the deal, the news provider's picture reveals.

Lyndsey Rodrigues hails from the North Shore area of Australia and relocated to New York in order to pursue her dream of interviewing celebrities for MTV, the report notes.

Her forthcoming marriage is planned to take place in her home country, however.

"Of course I said yes. It was incredible - it wasn't some cheesy proposal with any orchestrated stunts, it was just him and I in the middle of the lake doing what we do best - having a laugh," she told the news provider of her partner's proposal.

A recent high-profile proposal saw British resident Robert Szabo pop the question to Sarah Gartside by etching it into a cornfield, following which he orchestrated a plane flight on which he presented her with a platinum diamond ring, the Mirror reported.
