Detachable diamond necklaces have been identified as an up-and-coming trend for brides in Pakistan, it has been reported.
Pakwatan.com reported that diamond necklaces which can be worn one way on the wedding day and then can detach to form two or three other unique-looking jewellery pieces are gaining in popularity.
Shehrezad Rahimtoola of Labels stated that this trend may mean that brides may be becoming more practical than they have been in the past.
"They opt, for example, for diamond chains in their necklaces, which can later be removed and worn on their own, while the centrepiece can be worn separately on an ordinary chain," she said.
She added that matching necklaces and earrings remains a popular trend among brides in Pakistan.
Recently, Lisa Jardine of the BBC reported that a diamond engagement ring may be one of the most meaningful types of jewellery, with a Tiffany diamond solitaire ring thought to be among the most classic pieces of this type.
