Scottish singer wears diamond ring

A diamond ring was singer Amy Macdonald's way of telling the world she was engaged.


The Scottish musician wore the sparkler at T In The Park, letting her fans know that soon she would be marred to footballer Steve Lovell, reports the Evening Express.


A taste for gold diamond rings, diamond necklaces and diamond pendants may not necessarily go hand in hand with a desire for celebrity, the star suggested.


Macdonald's portfolio includes a song called Footballer's Wife and she told the news provider that the wives and girlfriends (Wag) culture does not appeal to her.


"It's totally not the case with me and has nothing to do with Steve's occupation. I like to think I got where I am because of the amount of hard work I've put in," she told the publication.


Diamonds may have been a festival fashion theme this year - Kate Moss was spotted wearing a diamond ring given to her by Pete Doherty at this year's Glastonbury.
