Gold diamond ring for Diaz

Actress Cameron Diaz has been spotted wearing a gold diamond ring on her engagement finger.


The There's Something About Mary star's jewellery choice has sparked rumours that she is set to wed her partner Paul Sculfor, a model from the UK.


She was glimpsed wearing the band at the restaurant Nobu in Los Angeles.


However, the star's publicist confirmed to E! that the gold diamond ring was a fashion choice rather than a symbol of life-long commitment to Sculfor.


"It is not an engagement ring. It is her own ring, designed by her friend Lenore Marusak for La Paix," the official stated.


Gold diamond rings may be popular for engaged couples, but they are just as effective as an expression of individuality, according to one designer.


Solange Azagury-Partridge crafts rings depicting the wearer's name in gold and diamonds, which have been recently praised by Vogue as an "all-time cult piece".
