Thurman celebrates engagement with diamond ring

Uma Thurman has announced her engagement to the world with the help of a diamond ring.


The actress is to wed partner Arpad Busson, a financier who presented her with the band on a recent trip to the UK.


While it has not been revealed whether the item is a heart shape diamond ring, a marquise cut diamond ring or a pear shape diamond ring, friends of the couple remarked that its size means "she can't fit it through the sleeve of her coat".


"It's the most beautiful piece I've ever seen," the source added, noting that Busson "did a wonderful job".


Thurman was spotted flashing the ring at Elton John's recent White Tie & Tiara Ball,


Meanwhile, a recent report in themorningcall.com documents the growing popularity of "push presents", presented to mothers-to-be by their partners.
