Diamond and gold jewellery to complement wedding outfits was on show at a recent display, it has been reported.
According to the Star, Kuala Lumpur's Mid Valley Megamall hosted Poh Kong Jewellers' diamond and gold roadshow, at which diamond necklaces, bracelets and earrings were available.
Wedding bands also captured the attention of prospective brides and grooms at the event,
"When you see the type of reaction our wedding band creates, you know it's more than a ring. It's a commitment," Siow Der Ming, head of the franchise division and international branding, told the publication.
However, singer Gary Chaw also turned up at the event and commented that single people can also enjoy rings.
Meanwhile, chief designer Melissa Tham compared a gown without accessories to a Christmas tree with no decorations, observing that jewellery often ties an outfit together.
The UK saw 275,140 wedding ceremonies in 2006, according to the Office for National Statistics.
