Carla Bruni, the pop singer who married French President Nicholas Sarkozy four months ago, has won fans in the nation with her style choices, a new report notes.
According to the Globe and Mail, Bruni has been described in Le Point as La Presidente, describing the first lady as "both spontaneous and demure".
Photos accompanying the article reportedly featured Bruni in a three-strand diamond necklace and evening gown, as well as another in which she writes in a diary in the Elysee palace.
The report notes that Mr Sarkozy may have gained in popularity due to his charming wife, although it cites a poll showing that 65 per cent approve of Bruni while 39 per cent have favourable opinions of the president.
Bruni's album is released next month and features Bruni singing of being still a child after her 40 years and 30 lovers.
Sophie Heawood commented on the lyric in the Independent: "A life full of love is a great thing."
