Jewellery designer Alessandra Moneta has launched a new collection in Dubai this week.
Moneta, who specialises in bespoke jewellery as well as the restoration of antique pieces, saw her pieces displayed to an esteemed crowd in the emirate.
Held at the Mina A'Salam Ballroom in the Madinat Jumeirah, the event featured an array of re-worked and new pieces, crafted by Moneta to suit her customer's specific taste and styles.
Gold and precious stones are used to illustrate the customer's character, which the designer is said to glean by developing a confidential relationship with them.
Members of the Italian nobility's jewellery collections the designer has worked with include the Collection Conti di Castiglione di Venegono Collection and the Duchess Pignatelli della Leonessa.
In related news, a flawless heart shape diamond ring was among the most prominent pieces sold at a Geneva jewellery auction held by Christie's this week, where it was sold alongside a blue diamond ring and a brooch, reports Reuters.
