Does diamond jewellery mean wedding bells for Paris?

The brother of Paris Hilton's boyfriend has fuelled rumours the couple are to wed by describing the heiress as his "sister-in-law".


Good Charlotte's Joel Madden made the comment after his brother and bandmate, Paris's beau Benji, wore a diamond ring bearing the initials PH, reports the Metro.


Citing the Mirror, the news provider reveals that a source said: "A lot of people have brushed it off as a publicity stunt but Benji is serious about Paris and he has discussed marriage plans with his brother - which is why Joel called her his sister-in-law."


Joel made the rumour-fuelling comments as he introduced the crowd at California's Coachella festival to the socialite.


Meanwhile, Nicole Ritchie - Paris's on/off best friend and The Simple Life co-star - recently gave birth to a child fathered by Joel, a baby girl called Harlow.


Hilton was recently seen in romantic comedy The Hottie and The Nottie with Joel David Moore and Christine Lakin.
