Beyonce's diamond ring 'is a wedding band'

The diamond ring recently spotted on Beyonce Knowles is a signal of her nuptials, a new revelation suggests.


When the Crazy In Love singer was glimpsed in the designer jewellery last week, speculation that she had married her rumoured beau, rapper Jay-Z, developed.


Now, Scarsdale Town Clerk Donna Conkling has confirmed that the couple signed a wedding licence in Scarsdale, New York, on Friday.


"The licence was sent back to our office on Friday," she commented.


However, no confirmation of a wedding ceremony has been made by the historically private pair.


Silver candelabras and white flowers were delivered to Jay-Z's home on April 4th, while guests such as Gwyneth Paltrow attended what was assumed by the press to be a nuptial celebration.


Beyonce emerged at Jay-Z's show at Atlanta's Phillips Arena earlier this month sporting a large diamond ring, People magazine observed.


She sat in the VIP section of the arena with R&B star Usher, pairing her diamond jewellery with a black dress and hoop earrings.
